Guilty pleasure, by definition: is something, such as a film, television programme, or piece of music, that one enjoys despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard. Now, I do believe every one has their own guilty pleasures, some chose to keep theirs a secret whilst others are quite open about them. I’ll be honest I’m quite wary of sharing mine, but since I’ve been going through a tough time recently, I’ve noticed these little guilty pleasures brought me a little happiness, and there is no shame in that.
Have you ever ordered a mini family meal when you order takeaway from the local chippy? Like, a pizza, burgers and fries? Maybe even chicken wings? The guy at our local takeaway knows that we order from there so often that he sometimes throws in freebies (can I marry him?). And, admittedly, I do eat it all. I complain about gaining weight and my jeans no longer fitting me, but pizza and chips and Netflix is all I need right now.
Generally, when people think of bingo, they think of gambling, losing money, and old women. Well, I may be 21, but I do enjoy playing bingo. From the comfort of my sofa that is. It’s not something I do often but would not mind getting into. The best thing is, you don’t even have to spend money to play! I mean, can it get better than that? FREE BINGO! There are a ton of bingo sites that offer you a certain amount of money for free to let you play!
A Good Ol’ Netflix Binge
I mean, who hasn’t seen the whole of Gilmore Girls at least once? Girlboss remains as one of the most semi-inspiring shows i’ve seen. Deciding to get a Netflix subscriptions was admittedly one decision I do not regret. I definitely get my moneys worth. I may not watch a lot of movies on there (i’m more of a tv show kinda gal) but I can sit for hours with my best friend watching friends with complete and utter contempt.
Debatable Pizza Toppings
Please don’t kill me. Or hate me. Or even worse, unfollow me on Instagram. But yes, I like pineapple on pizza. There. I said it. Yes it is a fruit and Gordon Ramsay said it shouldn’t belong on a pizza, but god does it taste good! The sweetness of the pineapple with the spices on the pizza and melted cheese. Gimme gimme gimme!
Don’t lie and say the idea of reading and/or watching fifty shades hasn’t crossed your mind. There is just something about adult novels that just grabs my attention. It may be the unbearably cheesy story line or the random elevator sex scenes. Whatever it is, I find them interesting and as of recently they have been the only novels that have kept my interest. Don’t tell my mum though please!
There are my embarrassing guilty pleasures, and it’s okay to indulge. But remember, everything does have a limit. Please don’t put chocolate on pizza or watch gossip girl instead of doing coursework.
What are your guilty pleasures? Are you pro-pineapple on pizza?
Lot’s of love,
