Faith In Nature – Product Review (Coconut range)

faith in nature

Have you seen this vegan and cruelty free brand about? Maybe on Superdrug online? Social Media? They are paraben free, and vegan friendly! I gave their products a try recently and can now give an honest review on how they worked for me. Want to know whether they are as good as they sound? Keep reading

I got sent a lovely package from Faith In Nature, 6 full bottles of haircare products and one hand care item. You can pick them up from Superdrug online, Amazon or their own website.

I was given to the option to pick and chose which products I would like to test out and for this reason I picked products suited to my hair.

What’s your hair like Madiha? I’m going to tell you

I have quite fine hair, not super thin but I wouldn’t say it’s the healthiest. I need to wash my hair after 2/3 days, suffer from hair loss and occasionally dandruff. Main concern for me is weak and thin hair, and hair loss.

(Although I did get these items sent to me as a PR package, all opinions and views are my own, honest and this post is not sponsored)

So far, I have been using 3 of the products sent to me religiously so that I can give a full and honest review on them. Once I’ve used them for long enough, I’ll move onto the next product and write a post on them. I don’t want to combine all the products together (they do have quite an extensive range) and not give an experienced review (does that make sense?).

So, onto the products of this review then.

I used the coconut range first, mainly because I was just super excited to smell all tropical (you know what I mean!). The range just smelt so lush! Not like the fake coconut smell you get in most scented products, but the authentic coconut smell! The reason for this is that the products (shampoo, conditioner and hand cream) contain organic coconut in them so it has none of that unwanted artificial stuff it in. Can I get a hell yeah?

*Hell yeah!*

So, we’ve covered smell, but what is the packaging like?

Better than I expected. It in no way nearly as pretty as some packaging for haircare and hand cream, but it wasn’t all bad. Honestly, I did find the packaging quite boring and not really appealing. If I saw this in a store, it wouldn’t really catch my eye. I know the product itself matters more than packaging, but if something doesn’t look nice, you’re less likely to want to buy and use it. The bottles are super durable, and the hand cream is perfect for any handbag.

Now, the big question. Do they work?

Shampoo

The shampoo easily rinses off, I’ve never had to stand under the shower for ages trying to get it all out, which is a good thing because it’ll save a load of time, and water (and money!). I’ve read such good reviews about the shampoo online, but unfortunately it just does not work for me. It’s such a shame because the shampoo smells absolutely divine! I find that after I use the shampoo, my hair feels really dry and stripped down of its natural oils and protective barrier. It just feels so brittle after use that I just want to bathe it in conditioner for an hour until it feels soft again. Super disappointed, but it just was not for me.

Conditioner

Similar to the shampoo, this was also a bit of a let down. The conditioner, again, did smell amazing, but didn’t do much conditioning. I left it on for the recommended time, more than the recommended time, and less, but it just didn’t condition as much as I would like it too. To me my hair felt like it does just before I go for a shower, in need to some TLC. I want my hair feeling healthy and soft after I condition, but this product just did not do much. It does condition, but such a small amount that it may as well be insignificant.

Hand cream

The cream does smell like coconut initially, but after rubbing it in it smells a bit like burnt aniseed (I’m fully aware this sounds bizarre but that’s the best description I could come up with). However, on the plus side the cream does sink in quickly, definitely does moisturise and doesn’t feel oily or like plastic/rubber. If you don’t mind the smell of a hand cream it works great, but for me the scent is super important, so it’s a no from me.

I understand that this review does seem extremely harsh, but I want to give a completely honest opinion and will not shy away from telling the truth just to sound nicer. The products simply do not work for me, but they may work for you. If you’ve tried them, what did you think of them? Do they work?

Lot’s of love,

I love Faith in Nature! I can usually find some of their range in TK Maxx, I’m a bit of a bargain hunter. Haven’t used the coconut range though yet, looks nice!

Thank you for your honest review! It is good to know how good or bad products actually are. It saves a lot of people from buying something and than having to throw it away because it doesn’t work. However, I do understand that everyone is different and what works for one person might not work for another.

Thats too bad they didn’t work out for you, although they sound divine. I need something to not strip my hair as well. :/

It really is! The range of vegan products is expanding though which I guess is a good thing!

Ooh, just reading about the products’ coconut scent is getting me excited already! I love the smell of coconut. I feel like I’m in the beach or some island! It’s too bad the products were disappointing. 🙁 I guess it’s because they’re organic? I also tried some natural and organic products and while they were good for me, sadly, I didn’t like their performance. Thanks for the honest review though!

Great review! I love anything coconut-scented so definitely keen to try the hair products. Shame about the hand cream’s scent but I’d still be curious to try it.
