Collection Highlight, Blush & Bronze : Review

Collection highlight blush bronze trio

I got tired of rummaging through my makeup bag trying to find my NYX contour duo, highlighter and blush individually, and finding a cruelty free trio that was affordable seemed near to impossible. But alas, Collection to the rescue. Let’s get crackin’ and review the Collection Highlight, Blush and Bronze trio.

First thoughts

Let me start by saying that Collection are cruelty free, which is a huge plus. I only use cruelty free cosmetics and skincare, so finding something affordable and travel friendly was great! I was happy that I could get everything in one little package, all three (highlighter, blusher and bronzer) help frame your face and contour which is all the rave in the beauty community. I’ve received a trip before as part of a Christmas gift set, but the bronzer was shimmery which is a huge let down, the collection one was matte (YAY).

Price tag

Collection being a drugstore brand means their products are more affordable than high street alternatives, but their cosmetics won’t even make a dent in your purse. Unless you decide to buy all the products they produce (I admittedly got excited and made use of the Boots 3 for 2 offer).

The big question is, how much was it? £4.99.

Under a fiver!

Application and pigment

But Madiha, is it any good?

Short answer? yes! The trio has been a bit of a game changer for me. I love the pigment of the trio, the blush isn’t too dark, the bronzer is buildable, and the highlight is the perfect amount of shimmer! All three can be built up to your liking, and are picked up pretty easily with brushes. I use the fan brush for highlight, face curve brush or face paint brush for bronzer, and the sheer cheek brush for blush, all from my Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set. The application is super smooth and product is definitely blend-able.

I feel like this is the only slight negative I have. The mirror is quite small, like, really small. I still use my main mirror when doing my makeup because the packaging one doesn’t really help much. It is plastic packaging, which feels slightly flimsy to me, but it hasn’t broken yet. For the price, I wouldn’t have expected amazing packing. It’s definitely worth the price.

Final Thoughts

I would buy it again. And again. It is completely worth more than £4.99, will last ages, is super blend-able and handy for on the go and travel.

I’d recommend buying it from either Superdrug or Boots, they always have 3 for 2 offers on!

Would this trio be your cup of tea? Let me know in the comments

Lots of love,
